Man drowns near Ratliff Ferry in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a drowning in Madison County.

The incident occurred near the Ratliff Ferry Trading Post on Saturday, April 26. Sources told WJTV 12 News that a 25-year-old man drowned while fishing.

Madison County deputies, Rankin County deputies and Reservoir police responded to the scene. The victim has not been identified.
