Harrisburg native Donte Kent drafted by Pittsburgh Steelers

(WHTM) — Central Michigan Chippewas corner and Harrisburg High School graduate Donte Kent was drafted 229th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kent was a three-time All-Mid-American Conference honoree (First Team in 2022, Second Team in 2023, Second Team in 2024) and four-year starter who started 48 career games at cornerback for the Chippewas. He played both wide receiver and corner for Harrisburg High.

According to his draft profile, Kent is considered a strong tackler and better as a man-coverage cornerback than he is in zone.
