Portland Winterhawks Western Conference Championship schedule released

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Portland Winterhawks have officially punched their ticket to the next round of playoffs, after upsetting the top-seeded Everett Silvertips on Tuesday night in Game 7. They will face up with the No. 2 seed Spokane Chiefs in the Western Conference Championship with the series starting on Friday at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

The captain of the team, Kyle Chyzowski, led the Winterhawks offensive with five goals and five assists in six games in the second round. The Hawks will now have the opportunity to defend their 2024 Western Conference Championship.

Spokane defeated Vancouver in round one and Victoria in round two. Both organizations will meet in the postseason for the 13th time, with Spokane winning a five-game, first-round series in their most recent meeting. This will be just the fourth time that Portland and Spokane will battle it out for the Conference Championship.
