BATON ROUGE, La. (
Louisiana First) — A Livingston Parish woman was arrested after failing to report sexual abuse claims related to her husband.
Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office started an investigation on Aug. 31, 2023, into sexual abuse allegations involving juveniles that led to the arrest of David Tienda, 31, of Walker.
Tienda was sentenced to 40 years after he was convicted of aggravated rape of three juveniles and one count of pornography involving juveniles, District Attorney Scott Perrilloux reported on April 10, 2025.
According to LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard, Tienda’s wife, Jessica, 35, knew about the abuse and did not report it. On May 29, 2024, she was arrested after failing to make a report.
Additional warrants were obtained on April 17, 2025, for Jessica on charges of sevent counts of crimes against nature and one count of principal to first-degree rape. The sheriff’s office said she is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
“As you can imagine, this is a very complex case,” said Ard. “The diligent effort from our LPSO Special Victims Unit (SVU) Detectives and our partners with the Children’s Advocacy Center makes this possible to get justice for our victims.”
