Man killed in fatal Janesville car crash, passenger hospitalized

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A 30-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in a single-car crash in Rock County.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 5100 block of Newville Road at 10:59 p.m.

Investigators determined that a vehicle was traveling south on N. Newville when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, an adult male, was taken to a local hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

Police are withholding the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
