BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A former Southern University football player was arrested and charged after a video surfaced online which allegedly shows a man choking a woman until she passes out.
Quaydarius Davis, 22, of Texas was charged with first-degree burglary and domestic assault and battery by strangulation, according to jail records.
Southern University Athletics said Davis “was dismissed from the SU football team in October 2024 for breaking team rules and has no affiliation with SU Athletics.”
He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on Saturday, April 12 and his bond was set at $25,000.
