Corcoran attempted murder suspect arrested in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A traffic stop in Visalia led to the arrest of a wanted man for an attempted murder case in Corcoran Saturday evening, the Visalia Police Department announced.

Police say just after 8 p.m. they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Mooney Boulevard and Cameron Avenue.

Officers report the vehicle was wanted in connection to an attempted murder in Corcoran, however, the firearm involved in the case was still outstanding.

Visalia police detained the two occupants and eventually found the driver was wanted for attempted murder. He was turned over to Corcoran police.

As investigators searched the vehicle, they reported locating a loaded, unregistered firearm inside the woman’s purse. She was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility as a result.

Officers have not disclosed details regarding the attempted murder case in Corcoran the man and vehicle were wanted for.
