According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, detectives were asked to investigate the LSU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty Practice in October 2024.
During the investigation, detectives learned that 34-year-old Mari-Alina Timoshchuk was reportedly taking controlled substances from the facility. It should be noted that Timoshchuk was a staff member at the clinic.
In December 2024, an arrest warrant was filed for Timoshchuk.
Timoshchuk was booked on charges of possession of a Schedule III drug, three counts of theft, and two counts of prohibited acts: all schedules.
