Tuesday marks the start of our sunshine streak

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Chilly temps Tuesday morning in the 40s! Jackets will most likely be needed when heading out of the door. Sunshine all day long.

Perhaps this is Mother Nature’s way of apologizing for literally raining on our parades this year, but we should all be grateful for a FULL WEEK of PERFECT WEATHER – for one of the biggest festival weekends of the year.

Highs in the low 70s this afternoon, with sun from start to finish. Slightly warmer with mid-70s for the highs on Wednesday.

We will likely be back at 80 degrees in the afternoon on Thursday and Friday before another weak front passes through. This front passes without rainfall involved for us. It will bring a nice, refreshing twist to the start of our weekend with less humidity and high temps back into the middle 70s on Saturday.
