By rssfeeds-admin HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — A man killed after the lawnmower he was riding flipped over near I-65 in Homewood was identified Monday morning.
On April 4, around 1:37 p.m., officers with the Homewood Police Department were called to the I-65 northbound off ramp at Oxmoor Road. Arriving on the scene, the victim was found dead from an accident on a lawnmower.
The HPD reports that the victim, 35-year-old Christopher Tovaris Collins, was an employee at a private landscaping company that the city had contracted to mow the grass in the area.
The Homewood Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding Collins’ death.
