Alexandria police probe armed robbery on MacArthur Drive

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) — The Alexandria Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon in the 1400 block of MacArthur Drive.

Officers responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a robbery involving a firearm. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as an older Black male who was armed with a handgun. He reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored Ram pickup truck.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
