Mumford & Sons making tour stop in Utah this summer

WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC4) — Mumford & Sons will be embarking on a North American tour later this year, with a stop at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 14.

The tour comes on the heels of the group’s release of their fifth album, Rushmere. Supporting acts include Japanese Breakfast, Gregory Alan Isakov, Michael Kiwanuka, Sierra Ferrell, Gigi Perez, Margo Price, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Good Neighbours, and Divorce. Utah’s show will feature Good Neighbours, known for songs such as “Ripple” and “Home.”

Tickets went on sale Friday, April 4. The folk-rock band has partnered with PLUS1 to have $1 from every ticket go toward War Child, which helps children who have been impacted by war.

Mumford & Sons, known for hits such as “I Will Wait” and “Little Lion Man,” have earned various accolades throughout their career, including two Grammy Awards and two BRIT awards.

The band, made up of members Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane, first formed in London in 2007. They have been well-recognized for blending folk music with modern influences, their debut 2009 album Sigh No More receiving wide acclaim, peaking at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and Billboard 200 in the U.S in 2011.

Mumford & Sons last performed in Utah in 2019. Since their last release, the group went on a brief hiatus and frontman Marcus Mumford released his self-titled album in 2022.
