JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — In Jefferson Parish, a judge ruled that Rickey White will be held without bond at the request of the state.

The judge cited White’s past arrests and convictions as well as evidence of criminal activity outside Louisiana.

White is the alleged accomplice of 48-year-old Danette Colbert who was booked with the murder of Adan Manzano, a reporter who was in New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl.

Colbert was spotted with Manzano prior to his death at his Kenner hotel. Police allege that she stole his credit card and phone.

They say Colbert and White had a years-long scheme of drugging men to steal from them in Louisiana and Nevada.
