According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday between Hellerman and Eastwood Streets.
When officers arrived, they found four 9mm fired shell casings on the street. Shortly after, several juveniles and young adults approached officers and reported their friend had been shot and taken to Nazareth Hospital by private vehicle.
After officers secured the scene, they requested a hospital check over police radio. The victim was at Nazareth Hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound to the right hip. He was in stable condition and was transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
While officers were still at the scene, a second victim approached officers and reported a graze wound to the leg. He was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, also in stable condition.
Police are looking for a white car that was involved in the shooting.
