Federal prisoners face charges for weapons, contraband possession

MOUNT PLEASANT – Three men are facing charges for possessing weapons at the federal prison near Gordon.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced the charges Friday against Kajuan Woods, 37; Patrick Alexander, 36; and Antwan Edward Johnson, 27.

All three men are or were inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution – Schuylkill in Butler Township.

Johnson, authorities alleged, possessed a cell phone and six-inch sharpened plastic weapon in January.

Woods had a four-inch piece of metal, also known as a shank, in March, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Alexander possessed a six-inch piece of metal sharpened to a point in April.

All three men are facing federal contraband charges.
