By rssfeeds-admin According to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, Shania Cantrell, 26, of Orangeville, was driving a black 2008 Ford Escape and attempting to turn southbound on IL Rt. 26 from Old Illinois Route 26 around 12:20 p.m. when her vehicle was struck by a red 2020 Ford F150 pickup truck, driven by a 41-year-old man from Argyle, Wisconsin.
Authorities said Cantrell was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 15-year-old passenger was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured in the crash.
The crash is being investigated by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit. No charges have been announced. Authorities said an autopsy on Cantrell is pending.
