MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — A Monroe man was arrested Monday after allegedly sexually assaulting a child “multiple times,” authorities said.
Jarrod B. McBroom, of Monroe, was arrested and charged with crime against nature, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Officials said detectives interviewed a juvenile victim and learned that McBroom allegedly sexually assaulted them multiple times, most recently assault “four weekends ago,” at his home. Authorities were told that the victim woke up at 4 a.m. as McBroom was attempting to sexually assault them.
McBroom allegedly filmed himself on his phone during the sexual abuse incidents and told the victim not to tell anyone of the assault. Investigators said the victim’s sibling may have also experienced sexual abuse by McBroom.
McBroom was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center, where his bond was set at $300,000.
