US Marshals arrest 2020 Parkview Apartments double-homicide suspect

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On March 25, 2025, Delarrious Jones was taken into custody by agents with the United States Marshals Service (USMS) along with the Bernalilo County Sheriff’s Office, the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office, and the Albuquerque Police Department. Delarrious was taken into custody in Alburquerque, N. Mex. without incident.

On September 1, 2020, authorities were dispatched to Parkview Apartments on Richwood Road #2 due to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two deceased male victims on the ground.

According to court documents, an informant approached authorities and advised that three male subjects were sitting and standing near a black vehicle parked in front of an apartment building. Jones was allegedly identified as one of the male subjects who was near the vehicle.

Jones was accused of suddenly shooting one of the deceased victims multiple times before chasing another male victim, Malacra O. Smith, and fatally shooting him.
