When asked what motivated him to run for office, Adams said, “I feel the people believe they want different leadership.”
He said when it comes to leadership, the city of Jennings needs change.
“I believe I bring a different dynamic to the position, and I think I’m more than qualified,” he said.
With over 17 years of serving the public as a police juror with Jeff Davis Parish and being an educator, Adams said his ability and experience working with different departments and agencies in government along with his values of honesty, integrity and compassion, are reasons he should be elected as mayor.
“This is what I’m running on. I believe in fairness and equality,” he said.
Adams believes the growth in Jennings should be throughout the city and not just in certain areas. He said if he’s elected mayor, his priority will be to listen to his constituents as he’s done in the past, and he plans on doing that by “having town hall meetings, listening to the people and finding out what exactly what they want.”
Early voting will end on March 22. and election day will be on March 29.
