Raising Cane’s announces official opening date for Rockford store

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Raising Cane’s will open its first Rockford location in April, a full six months ahead of schedule.

In documents submitted to Rockford’s City Council, Raising Cane’s said it was targeting construction to begin in March 2025 with a tentative opening date in October.

Today, Raising Cane’s said it would be opening at 6445 E. State Street on Tuesday, April 15th.

The 3,225 square-foot restaurant hopes to employ 55 people and be open Sunday – Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., and Friday and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Raising Cane’s also announced its new store in Janesville, at 3030 Milton Avenue, which opened on January 14th.

Raising Cane’s is also known for its signature dipping sauce. According to its website, the chain is named after the owner’s dog.
