Lafayette house fire destroys two vehicles, firefighters respond
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Lafayette firefighters responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Greenhaven Drive around midnight last night.

Officials said the occupants of the residence entered the garage and discovered the fire. Everyone exited the dwelling safely and called 911.

When fire officials arrived on scene, the garage and two vehicles were fully engulfed by the fire. Officials said they battled the fire for 15 minutes before getting it under control.

Officials said the dwelling sustained moderate fire damage, primarily in the garage and attic area and both vehicles were destroyed in the fire. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials are investigating the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
