3 dead, 1 injured, 10 dogs rescued in Somerset house fire

SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — An early Tuesday house fire in Somerset killed three and left one severely burned.

The Parker’s Mill Fire Department announced on Facebook that around 1:20 a.m., firefighters were called to the Parkers Mill Road area where a home was on fire.

While working the fire, officials said they were informed that there were possibly multiple people and numerous animals trapped inside. Crews quickly got inside the home, where they found three people along with nine puppies and a full-grown dog.

The fire department said that three people were declared dead by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. One person was flown to a hospital to be treated for severe burns.

The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time.
