Freeport man, arrested last week, now charged in connection to July liquor store robbery

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — A man in custody as part of a drug trafficking investigation is now charged in connection to a liquor store robbery from July 2024.

Rickie Raisbeck, 44, was arrested on Friday, March 7th.

Detectives linked him to a burglary that occurred in the 600 block of N. West Avenue on July 28th, 2024.

According to police, Raisbeck and another suspect broke into the store around 1:40 a,.m. and stole $500 worth of merchandise and cash.

He is now facing additional charges of Burglary, Retail Theft, Retail Theft with a Prior Conviction, and Theft Over $500.

In the drug investigation case, Raisbeck faces charges of Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, felony Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cannabis, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
