NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — An arrest was made on Thursday in connection to a City Park-area homicide that happened back in February.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue back on Feb. 22 to investigate a fatal shooting.
On scene, the victim, later identified as 35-year-old Reynard Cennett, was found near a walking path and pronounced dead by EMS.
Later, on March 13, NOPD homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 21-year-old McKenzie Fair, who was found to have already been in custody at the Orleans Justice Center, in connection with the case.
Fair was rebooked on Thursday afternoon and charged with second-degree murder.
