The specialists at Mississippi Asthma & Allergy Clinic (MSAAC) are urging residents to recognize the early signs of allergies and seek professional treatment to manage symptoms effectively.
In Mississippi, tree pollens are dominant during the spring months. Some of the common culprits include hickory, oak, walnut, willow, box elder, maple, ash, and cedar. According to health officials, the pollen can produce common symptoms like itchy eyes, sneezing, and congestion.
“We continue to see great success in helping patients manage their allergy symptoms,” said Dr. Chelle Wilhelm, MSAAC physician. “Allergy shots remain one of the most effective long-term solutions for combating common allergens in our state.”
