NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested suspects for a shooting on Saida Street.

According to a press release from the Natchitoches Police Department, The Natchitoches Police Department arrested 17-year-old Kaiden Burks and a 15-year-old for a shooting that occurred on February 13, 2025, around 1:47 p.m. on the 100 block of Saida Street.

On March 6, 2025, the Natchitoches Police Department, the Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted several search warrants inside the city and in the parish.

During the search warrants, Kaiden Burks and a 15-year-old juvenile were placed under arrest.

Police say Kaiden Burks and the 15-year-old juvenile have been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder. They were both placed in a juvenile facility in Jackson Parish.
