TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A car fire in Taylor County is causing traffic delays on US 83/84.
Thursday afternoon, crews responded to a vehicle fire on US 83 southbound near CrossFit Abilene. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the flames, which spread briefly to a small patch of grass but were swiftly contained.
The Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Department and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene. No injuries were reported. As of 5:50 p.m., southbound traffic remains slow.
