IMPD: Man shot, injured on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man is seriously hurt following a shooting on Indy’s northwest side.

Indianapolis Metro police crews were called around 9:30 p.m. Monday to the 6700 block of Eagle Point Drive N. for a disturbance with a weapon. That is near the intersection of W. 46th Street and I-465 on Indy’s northwest side.

Upon arrival, IMPD said officers could not find a victim. Police soon found that the victim, an 18-year-old adult male, had been taken to a nearby IFD fire station. Medics at the station then took the man to the hospital and he is in serious condition, according to police.

Police officials said on scene that they believe the victim was shot in an apartment complex stairwell. IMPD located a witness at the scene who is providing information and also recovered a doorbell camera video.
