The historic ship will become the world’s largest artificial reef, resolving a years-long rent dispute.
Previously, the U.S. Coast Guard said the ship was unfit for travel, citing the need for additional testing since it was incapable of self-propulsion.
Now, the vessel will head to Mobile, Alabama to prepare the ship before its planned sinking in Okaloosa County, Florida.
