2 Louisiana men arrested after investigation into deepfakes of child sex abuse

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An investigation into illegal deepfakes led to the arrest of two Louisiana men.

Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Louisiana Probation & Parole West Baton Rouge Office on July 15 after child sexual abuse material was found during a routine cell inspection of a convicted sex offender identified as Ryan Glaser, 40, of Oscar.

Glaser was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of unlawful deepfakes. He was booked into the West Baton Rouge Prison.

Investigators identified a second person accused of creating and distributing the child sexual abuse material to Glaser. Gregory Duncan Jr., 24, of New Roads was arrested on Feb. 4 and charged with distribution of unlawful deepfakes. He was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail.
