CULLMAN, Ala. – The downtown branch of the Cullman County Public Library System (CCPLS) began hosting its successful “Teen Tuesday” program geared toward 13-18 year olds last fall. The next event will take place Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 3:30 p.m.

CCPLS Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore said the library wanted to provide a specific program for teens and give them a space to be creative and meet other people their age outside of school.

“The program usually involves a craft or game and snacks,” she said. “Activities have ranged from making slime to painting pumpkins at Halloween. Participants are not required to bring anything, but we would love it if they would let us know they are coming so we know how many to prepare for.”

Teen Tuesday takes place on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

“Participants may come and go as needed, so we welcome attendees late,” Creekmore said. “This month’s event is Tuesday, Jan 28, starting at 3:30 at the main library (branch).”

The main branch of the CCPLS is located at 200 Clark St. NE in Cullman. It can be reached by phone at 256-734-2720.
