Tiger fans are getting excited, and so are local businesses, like Super Witch ice cream, which created an LSU-themed ice cream flavor.
Briggs Barrios, the owner of Super Witch Ice Cream, is like a coach, an ice cream-making coach.
Barrios started Super Witch two years ago.
“We started as an Instagram account, where I was reviewing ice creams, and then I developed a love for making ice cream and now we’re here,” he said.
Here’s a good place for Barrios. He sells ice cream online and sells out weekly.
“Every Wednesday night at 7 p.m., all of our flavors for the week go live. We make everything in house that week,” he said.
“We make new flavors every single week for our drop,” Barrios said.
One of their flavors really roars.
“And this week we’re actually featuring an LSU flavor called “L.S.UBE,” he said.

Barrios went on to say, “My fiancée’s favorite flavor is the L.S.UBE, and that’s the reason why we made it last year. Her family is huge LSU fans.”
He hopes this ice cream scores, just like the LSU Tigers.
“I’ve been a sports fan my entire life. I played baseball throughout college, and I follow sports all the time, so why not tie it in with sports and another thing I love, ice cream,” he said.
The “L.S.UBE” flavor is made with ube, which is a purple sweet potato, and golden Oreos.
“It has a woody vanilla note to it, some people are scared because it’s purple, but there’s nothing to be scared of, it’s absolutely fabulous,” he said.
