NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — With his eyes always on his iPad, a New Orleans 18-year-old is busy designing the day, and his life, as WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood discovers.
His name is Jaron Barnes.
He is one busy guy.
He just graduated with the Class of 2025 at The Rooted School.
He had to squeeze in time to pick up his high school diploma and his honor as Class of 2025 Salutatorian.
Barnes has his own line of hats, hoodies, t-shirts and sweatshirts.
He calls what he creates Club XDS.
That’s because it’s not just a clothing line.
Barnes says, “It’s a lifestyle.”
He got more than $2 million dollars in scholarships to 20 colleges.
He’s decided to go to Loyola University of New Orleans.
He will study Marine Biology.
