NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating after a woman was almost robbed while in a rideshare.
According to NOPD officers, around 11:44 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, a woman was inside the vehicle at the corner of Willow Street and McAllister Drive, when the driver allegedly pulled out a knife demanding money.
The woman reportedly told officers that she “unsuccessfully” electronically sent money and managed to exit the vehicle.
The driver then left in an unknown direction.
