HADLEY — Hampshire Meadow Family & Pediatric Dentistry, which recently opened its new 4,600-square-foot dental facility at 101 East St., will have a grand opening celebration Saturday.
The practice, founded by Drs. Cyrus Safizadeh and Noelle Nubani, opened in 2019 a short distance to the east on Route 9, but outgrew that space.
A Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck will be on site serving 250 free cones from noon to 2:30 p.m., and families are welcome to tour the new facility and meet the team.
The new office, designed by architect Larry Tuttle and built by Sweitzer Construction, a firm specializing in dental and medical facilities, was completed in about 10 months. The project cost was about $2.3 million for construction and $700,000 in new equipment, with $500,000 in equipment relocated from the previous site.
“This new facility allows us to expand access to high-quality dental care for families throughout the region, especially for underserved populations,” Safizadeh said in a statement. “We remain deeply committed to serving MassHealth patients and ensuring children always have access to care, regardless of broader systemic challenges.”
At the previous 207 Russell St. site, an orthodontic practice will be staffed by two orthodontists who accept MassHealth. Hampshire Meadow last year completed 3,203 MassHealth appointments for about 2,635 pediatric patients and 500 adult patients.
Hampshire Meadow Family & Pediatric Dentistry employs four full-time doctors, including two board-certified pediatric dentists, six full-time registered dental hygienists, seven full dental assistants and five full-time administrative and management personnel.
