Matrox Video, Amagi Team To Scale Cloud Broadcast With Origin

Matrox Video is integrating its Matrox Origin software-defined framework into Amagi’s next‑generation cloud production architecture to enable more scalable, flexible broadcast workflows across linear and streaming.

The integration targets broadcasters moving from hardware-based systems to cloud‑native, dynamically orchestrated environments and aligns with emerging models such as the Dynamic Media Facility initiative. The companies say Origin provides a flexible core video pipeline fabric that lets operators scale resources and adapt infrastructure in real time.

“This collaboration with Amagi represents a significant step forward for cloud-based broadcast workflows,” said Francesco Scartozzi, Matrox Video VP of sales and business development. “Together, we are enabling broadcasters to move beyond legacy constraints and toward more flexible, software-defined operations that can adapt in real time.”

“At Amagi, we are committed to driving innovation in broadcast through cloud transformation,” said Srividhya Srinivasan, Amagi co‑founder and CTO. “Working with Matrox Video and leveraging the advanced video pipeline capabilities of Matrox Origin allows us to expand our core technological framework and support highly flexible, scalable broadcast operations.”

The collaboration combines Matrox Video’s software-defined broadcast expertise with Amagi’s cloud platform to reduce complexity, improve scalability and unlock new operational efficiencies for next‑generation infrastructure.
