
Update at 8:30 p.m.: The missing juvenile was found safe, law enforcement said.
Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a 12-year-old boy who ran away from home Sunday night.
According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on County Road 17 near Eagle Lake and learned a 12-year-old was seen leaving around 8:30 p.m. He was walking towards Mankato and was wearing dark clothing.
Several searches were conducted in the area, but he wasn’t found. Authorities determined on Monday that he was picked up by a light-colored, four-door pickup truck near Highway 22 and Adams Street around 10 p.m. Sunday.
He is around 5 feet tall and weighs about 80 pounds.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call investigators at 507-304-4863.
