Four concerts run between May and July. Things kick off May 12 at 1:30 p.m. Rick Michel’s An Afternoon with Sinatra & Friends opens the season.
“Live music has the power to bring people together and create lasting memories,” said Michael DuPont, president of the Garden State Arts Foundation, according to Patch. “We are proud to offer this diverse lineup of free performances that celebrate timeless music, honor our nation’s history, and ensure that everyone in our community has access to high-quality cultural experiences.”
May 28 brings Cousin Brucie Presents: Tommy James & the Shondells and Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone at 7:30 p.m. A double bill arrives June 11 at 1:30 p.m., pairing Tommy Lynn & One Hot Night — America’s Neil Diamond Tribute with Shadows of the 60s — A Tribute to Motown’s Super Groups.
The series concludes July 1 at 7 p.m. with a celebration of the United States 250th Birthday, showcasing the United States Army Field Band alongside opening act American Bombshells.
“This year’s series truly reflects the breadth of what we aim to deliver — from classic American standards and rock legends, to Motown favorites and a special patriotic celebration for America’s 250th,” said Ron Gravino, vice president of the organization. “There is something for everyone, and we look forward to welcoming families and music lovers from throughout the tri-state area to experience these unforgettable performances.”
The nonprofit brings free concerts and programs to communities across New Jersey. Live Nation and PNC Bank stand as strategic partners.
United Methodist Communities and Horizon Foundation for New Jersey serve as Standing Ovation Level Sponsors, while the Wilf Family Foundations is the Main Stage Sponsor. Atlantic Eye holds the Back Stage Sponsor position. Malt Shop Memories Live is the Spotlight Sponsor.
Admission costs nothing, but attendees must reserve tickets ahead of time. Capacity is limited, and demand will be high. Guests can bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The venue sits at 116 Garden State Parkway in Holmdel.
