Education - Apple Image credit pixabay.JarmolukExpenseIn, an AccountsIQ company, has announced a partnership with SAAF Education. SAAF Education provides finance, payroll, HR and recruitment support for Schools, Academies & MATs. The new partnership will enable SAAF to offer a modern expense management solution to its clients. Backed by SAAF advice and the comprehensive ExpenseIn solutions, education establishments can improve the operational efficiency of their spend management processes and gain insights into their expenditure.

Rich Jones, VP Product at ExpenseIn, said, “Finance teams in education are often working across fragmented systems, particularly when it comes to managing expenses. This partnership is about delivering practical value and helping organisations simplify how they work while moving away from manual processes that slow teams down.

“SAAF’s deep expertise and network within the education sector allows us to deliver more effective solutions to schools and trusts.”

Combining ExpenseIn with their current Accounting software, education sector customers can automate and simplify their expense management processes. They can remove paper-based processes to transform the experience for teachers and other employees.

Where MATs and Schools manage multiple locations and often have decentralised spending, leveraging a cloud-based tool will enable them to have greater visibility across all sites in real time, which was previously impossible.

More than a single partnership

The announcement reflects the partnership between SAAF Education and ExpenseIn; however, it is not just a bidirectional relationship. ExpenseIn integrates with the accounting tools commonly used by educational institutions. That ensures that the solution will reduce manual processes from the actual purchase through to the accounting systems.

That fact was highlighted at the BETT Awards 2026 in a post by Rikki Harrison, Senior Manager at IRIS Education. who noted the partnership between ExpenseIn, SAAF Education Ltd, EduFin, PAGS and Iris Education. In addition, ExpensesIn integrates with AccountsIQ, Access, Sage and Xero, which SAAF Education also supports.

Andrew Pole, Director at SAAF Education, “We are pleased to be partnering with ExpenseIn to bring a practical solution to a challenge we see every day in educational institutes. Too often, finance teams are dealing with unnecessary complexity. By combining our sector expertise with ExpenseIn’s technology, we can help organisations simplify these processes and give finance teams better visibility and control.”

Jones concluded, “The partnership ultimately reflects a shared commitment to empowering finance professionals with the tools and knowledge required to operate in an increasingly digital economy.

“By working together, ExpenseIn and SAAF aim to deliver meaningful improvements to financial processes within the education sector.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Currently, the ExpenseIn website lists SAAF Education as a referral partner alongside organisations such as Enclude, itas, Concept and Stratas. The inference from Jones is that this partnership will shift to a more comprehensive one. Perhaps becoming an implementation and support partner as SAAF Education looks to enhance finance processes among its customers.

SAAF Education has helped over 1,000 schools, academies and trusts during its lifetime. And the relationship with ExpenseIn may see the expense management company expand its footprint even further.
