NAB Show: Ikegami To Debut Expanded Broadcast Production Line

Ikegami USA is launching new additions to its broadcast-quality production equipment at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, including updates to its UNICAM XE camera series and new 7-inch viewfinders. It will be in Booth C3819.

The company will showcase refinements to the UHK-X700 and UHK-X750 3-CMOS 2/3-inch Ultra HD cameras. A new Variable Neutral Density (VND) filter function will be previewed as an option for these models, allowing the lens F-stop to remain fixed to control video exposure.

“A key strength of Ikegami products is the ease with which they combine into a fully integrated system delivering high signal quality along with unsurpassed creativity, flexibility and easy expandability,” Alan Keil, Ikegami senior engineering fellow, said. “That includes IP connectivity for equipment room infrastructure, as well as long distance REMI applications.”

The new viewfinder lineup includes the VFL-P710AD, an HD native 7-inch LCD model featuring digital and analog connectivity. It includes a waveform monitor, vectorscope and audio level meter. Also debuting is the VFE-P711AD, which uses a 7-inch OLED panel designed for high chroma reproduction and contrast in high-ambient light environments.

Other equipment on display at the Ikegami exhibit includes:

  • UNICAM XE-series cameras: The UHK-X700 and UHK-X600, which incorporate three 2/3-inch CMOS 4K sensors with global shutter architecture, and the HDK-X500 multiformat HD portable camera system.
  • IPX-100 Extension Unit: A SMPTE ST 2110 compliant unit that supports bidirectional optical transmission and camera-head power.
  • Compact/POV cameras: The UHL-X40 for PTZ and outdoor use, and the UHL-43 box-style multipurpose camera, which is upgradeable to 4K-UHD via software.
  • Camera Control: The OCP-500 slimline control panel and the VMP virtual master control panel, which allows up to 100 cameras to be managed from a single PC.
  • Broadcast Monitors: The HLM-2460WA 24-inch WUXGA monitor and the HQLM-3120W, an HDR-compatible 31.1-inch monitor.
