Monroe County prosecuting attorney candidates Benjamin Tyron Arrington and Erika Oliphant took part in a public candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters on March 30, 2026, at Tri-North Middle School in Bloomington. The event gave voters a chance to hear the candidates discuss criminal justice policy, trial priorities, domestic violence, ethics, transparency, cannabis prosecutions, victim services and the future of the prosecutor’s office in Monroe County. The forum was open to the public, with audience members invited to submit questions. Organizers said all candidates from both parties were invited, and the event was co-sponsored by IU PACE, the Monroe County Branch NAACP, Monroe County NOW, and the South Central Indiana Citizens’ Climate Lobby.
