The move is designed to enable broadcasters and sports organizations to deliver live video contribution and distribution over IP at broadcast scale. As broadcasters and rights holders transition from satellite distribution toward IP-based workflows, the combination of Ateme’s video processing and LTN’s managed global network provides a scalable infrastructure for live content.
“Broadcasters, programmers, networks, and cable MSOs are no longer evaluating IP distribution — they are operating it at scale,” Malik Khan, LTN executive chairman and co-founder, said. “By combining Ateme’s advanced processing capabilities with the LTN Network, we’re enabling customers to deliver premium live content with the quality, reliability, and flexibility required for modern broadcast workflows.”
The integration allows Ateme’s TITAN Live and TITAN Edge platforms to connect directly to the LTN Network. This supports encoding, frame-rate conversion, motion-compensated processing and hand-off into broadcast facilities as part of end-to-end IP contribution and distribution workflows.
“Broadcasters and sports organizations are looking for solutions that deliver the highest video quality while supporting the industry’s transition to IP,” Julien Mandel, Ateme senior director, solutions management for contribution and distribution markets, said. “Our collaboration with LTN brings together Ateme’s advanced video processing with a proven global IP network, enabling customers to deliver premium live content reliably and efficiently at scale.”
The two companies are currently collaborating as broadcasters modernize distribution infrastructure. Ateme technology is used within a major U.S. broadcast network as part of evolving IP-based workflows.
The companies are also conducting a live workflow evaluation with a European sports organization, integrating Ateme’s processing with the LTN Network for global delivery of live sports content.
LTN and Ateme expect their deeper technology integration to be commercially available in this year.
