The process included verification for Appear’s hardware-based AVC/HEVC encoding and SRT streaming, expanding the company’s reach across FAST, OTT and hybrid broadcast ecosystems.
“YouTube collaborates with technology partners to ensure their products meet our highest standards for reliability and performance when streaming to YouTube Live,” Callum Hewett, YouTube live solutions consultant, said. “We’re pleased to verify Appear’s X Platform for SRT delivery which we hope will streamline content delivery for all of their partners.”
Appear also participated in LiveCon 2025, YouTube’s annual live-streaming summit in London, where the company discussed how its SRT-enabled platform helps rights holders and sports federations reach underserved audiences and drive engagement.
