Chyron Introduces PRIME 5.3 With Live Web Content Integration

Chyron has launched PRIME 5.3, the latest update to its live production graphics engine, featuring a new HTML Input that allows designers to embed live web content directly into PRIME computer graphics (CG) scenes.

The HTML Input lets users insert a URL to display live web content within PRIME scenes, customizable to fit various production needs. Playout operators can refresh the web content on demand from the scene control panel.

“PRIME 5.3’s HTML Input makes it easier than ever to integrate live websites,” said Chris Amodei, Chyron PRIME product manager. “Designers can build web content right into a PRIME scene, whether as a background or overlay, benefiting all content creators.”

The release also enhances Chyron LIVE, the company’s cloud-based production platform, by adding master control panel support. This feature gives users the ability to create tailored interfaces for managing live switching, audio mixing, graphics playout and more — all within a web browser.

For news broadcasters, PRIME 5.3 introduces Playout Automation mode. This mode streamlines the user interface to focus system resources on fully automated graphics playout for shows managed by automated production systems.

Additional improvements include new tools for managing scene and master control panels. The Panel Control Object lets multiple fields be grouped for easy toggling during live broadcasts, and designers can now switch object layout behaviors directly in the control panel interface.
