Sierra Ferrell to perform at state fair grandstand
The Minnesota State Fair announced that Americana musician Sierra Ferrell will be playing the Grandstand on the first Sunday of the Great Minnesota Get Together, Aug. 30.
The show is put on by MPR’s The Current as their “Music On-A-Stick” concert, which they have presented for a number of years.
Tickets for the show, which is part of the artist’s “Heavy Petal Tour,” go on sale Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. Reserved seating and mainstand tickets range from $46 to $81.25, with Party Deck tickets priced from $87 to $99.25.
It is the fourth grandstand show announced so far for the 2026 Minnesota State Fair, which runs 10 days, from Aug. 27 to Sept 7.
The other concerts are Bonnie Raitt (Aug. 27), “Weird Al” Yankovic with special guest Puddles Pity Party (Aug. 28), and Rod Stewart with special guest Richard Marx (Sept. 1).
