It’s not exactly baseball weather outside but it’s an exciting weekend for the Minnesota Twins and their fans.

The club’s annual fan festival, TwinsFest, will take place Friday and Saturday at Target Field.

Fans will get a chance to mix and mingle with current and former Twins, get pictures and autographs, participate in special activities and hear from new coaches and players.

The weekend is split into three events: TwinsFest Live!, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday; Signature Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and the Futures Clinic, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. (both sessions for youth ages 6-12).

Scheduled attendees include the new coaching staff, including manager Derek Shelton; fan favorites like Pablo López, Royce Lewis and Luke Keaschall, plus many other current players; newcomer Josh Bell; top prospects such as Walker Jenkins, Kaelen Culpepper and Emmanuel Rodriguez; and team and national Hall of Famers, including Joe Mauer, Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek, Tom Kelly and Corey Koskie.

Tickets are available online and by calling 1-800-33-TWINS or 612-33-TWINS. All proceeds go to the Twins Community Fund.

While all of the TwinsFest events are indoors, a club spokesperson told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that staff continues to monitor the weather and will take additional steps to keep attendees safe amid the bitter cold temperatures as necessary.
