A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at a barn in Chichester, prompting responses from multiple fire departments.
At about 2:30 p.m., the Chichester Fire Department was called to 50 King Road for a barn fire that eventually destroyed the structure.
Tim Robinson, Chichester’s fire chief, said the fire, which had fully engulfed the barn used primarily for storage, was brought under control within 45 minutes.
But the blaze rendered the structure and its contents burned beyond recognition.

The barn was located at the back of the property, with a house under construction in front of it. Workers on the site were unharmed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Hooksett, Concord, Pittsfield, Epsom, Canterbury, Loudon and other departments provided mutual aid.
