RCBC Named No. 1 Value College in New Jersey for 2026 by Research.com

Rowan College at Burlington County grabbed the top spot in New Jersey for student value, per a ranking by Research.com. The placement pushes RCBC past 21 other schools in the state.

The ranking weighed factors like quality, affordability, popularity, and how long it takes to finish a degree. RCBC gives students over 80 programs. Classes stay small, and learning stays flexible.

“The college stresses real-world outcomes, contributing much to the local economy and helping graduates achieve strong early-career earnings,” said Imed Bouchrika, co-founder and chief data scientist, according to the Sun Newspapers. “With an inclusive community and options for both in-person and online learning, RCBC provides an accessible, high-value starting point for students planning to transfer or enter the workforce.”

Research.com runs a university ranking platform that pulls data from several post secondary education databases, which include Peterson’s Data, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), and College ScoreCard.

Acting President Dr. David Spang said the recognition confirms what the school has known for years. “Being recognized as New Jersey’s top college for value reinforces what we have long understood, specifically that Rowan College at Burlington County provides an outstanding, student-centered education,” said Dr. David Spang.

“The evidence shows that community colleges like ours can not only stand alongside four-year institutions, but often exceed them in the areas that matter most: quality, affordability, and student success,” Dr. David Spang added.

RCBC also ranked high in two other categories from the same organization. It took first as the most affordable school in New Jersey. It placed twelfth as the best value college in the Northeast.

The school serves students in Burlington County with both transfer and workforce training programs. More details are at rcbc.edu.
