BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — December 29, 2025
A suspect accused of leading law enforcement on a Christmas Day pursuit that drove onto the Monroe County Airport tarmac and damaged airport property has now been formally charged, according to an update released Monday by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said it received confirmation on Dec. 29 that charges had been approved against Glen A. Hinshaw, who is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Center.
Hinshaw faces a Level 5 felony charge of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, as well as misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property-damage crash, and criminal trespass, the release said.
The pursuit on Christmas Day spanned two counties and included damage to Monroe County Airport property, according to the sheriff’s office. No additional details were released Monday.
The sheriff’s office noted the charges are allegations and Hinshaw is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
