Baxter Health has added Dr. G. Phillip Schoettle to its heart and lung surgery team, strengthening the hospital’s cardiothoracic surgery program.
Dr. Schoettle joins Dr. Natalie Ostro and Dr. F. Michael Bauer.
Before coming to Mountain Home, Dr. Schoettle practiced at St. Francis Hospital, Methodist Healthcare, and Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed advanced training in heart and chest surgery in Memphis.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Schoettle enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends, and caring for his two miniature labradoodles.
Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson said the hospital is excited to welcome Dr. Schoettle to the team.
“His experience and commitment to compassionate care perfectly complement the outstanding work of Dr. Ostro and Dr. Bauer,” Peterson said. “Together, this team represents the future of cardiothoracic care at Baxter Health.”
Baxter Health says the addition of Dr. Schoettle will ensure residents of north central Arkansas and south central Missouri continue to have access to high-quality heart and lung care close to home.
